I don’t know what it is.  Maybe it’s global warming. Maybe it’s the fact that we’re all so GD sick of vampires and werewolves.  But suddenly, everywhere I turn, I’m bumping into yet another dystopian story told in the eyes of an originally named teenage heroine with a voice like a war veteran.
Can’t say I mind.
And my latest is called The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan, and it’s so fast-paced you better hold onto your hats. One minute she’s talking about dancing and the next her mother’s …well, I’ll try not to ruin it for you.
Anyhoo, it’s good.
